Sportacus, a new arrival to the island of Madagascar, competes with Alex for the affection of a beautiful dancer named Gloria. The story takes place in Africa, where King Julien is still being threatened by the evil Captain Chantel Dubois and her minions. The Penguins have a plan to get rid of Dubois by beating her in a dancing competition hosted by Vitaly the tiger, but they need lemur King Julien's help. When Julien tries to teach them how to dance to impress Vitaly and win his friendship, the penguins realize that they need to learn how to move their rear ends in order to become better dancers. Later, in the forest, Skipper challenges Pizzanetti to a Basketball game. He wins but loses the ball in the process. Julien picks up the stolen ball when he comes across Gloria and Pizzanetti playing basketball. As they are about to kiss all of a sudden Skipper drives to catch them in bed. After being rejected, Skipper tries everything possible to get in touch with her again including disguising himself as a pirate in order to get access to her room by stealing her tape recorder. Later, Julien and Maurice plan to sell Rasputin's prophecy and quit the circus and live with Gloria and Pizzanetti in their own private cave. While Skipper, Kowalski, Rico, and Private are trying to find them they stumble upon a lost city where they find a treasure chest full of gold coins. But as they are filling up their backpacks the penguins discover the lost city belongs to chimpanzees who throw them out. They then kidnap Maurice to lure Gloria into rescuing him, but she ends up falling into their trap instead. Finally Julien appears and everyone is reunited – that is until Dubois' ship attacks the island with her lemurs on board (including King Julien and his friends). It is then that they realize that if they can't get off the island of Madagascar that their fate will be sealed. My Rating: I did not know what to expect from this film. A lot of people did not like it and a lot of people absolutely loved it. After watching the film, I would have to say that I enjoyed it more than most people did. Yeah, it's a kids movie about talking animals but I realized something after seeing this movie. That is...animated movies are so much better if they have a good story line and a strong plot line/plot development. Basically, what I'm saying is...I actually liked the story line in "Madagascar 3"... 81eaaddfaf 52
